Choosing Bible Translations:
This booklet contains an evaluation of some of the major translations. It begins with making the case for good translations, a brief history of English versions, and the establishment of an underlying text. From there it moves into some very important information about translators' theology (liberal or
conservative) and translation philosophies (formal,
dynamic equivalence, etc.). It concludes with an
evaluation of various popular translations.
